Parisian Beauty Bundle
April 1, 2020 /Today I’m making a card cased from Cindy Westennk.
I love the background stamps in the set and I love the colours Cindy used, smokey slate and pool party. They work so well with the beautiful Parisian Blossoms Specialy Designer Series Paper.
This is such a stunning bundle that’s so versatile for many occasions.
Thanks for watching.
Happy Stamping,

Bird Ballad Suite Class
March 17, 2020 /At our last class we all received the beautiful Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards and Tin! We made four cards and had lots to take home with what was left over.
Our first card was cased from the catalogue. There was a lot of stamping and a little watercolouring involved. It’s a pretty simple card but looks lovely with the laser cut card.
The embellishments add a nice finishing touch.
For our second card we stamped on watercolour paper and coloured the birds with watercolour pencils and activated them with the aqua painter.
We stamped, coloured and fussy cut the flowers and once again finished the card off with the beautiful Bird Ballad Trinkets.
The Old Olive card stock provides a nice contrast behind the laser cut card.
On our third card we had the option to cut out the centre of the laser cut card to use on another project.
We used Crumb Cake as the background colour.
The birds were cut out from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper using the Stitched Shapes Dies and I used the scalloped Lace Trim to create a border around the focal part.
I kept the last card very simple using Pretty Peacock and Very Vanilla.
I wanted to feature the laser card as much as possible and I love the contrast the Pretty Peacock provides.
I cut the top off the die cut to create a banner and to disguise the ‘missing stitching’ and added the Scalloped Lace Trim with another gorgeous flower trinket from the suite.
Please check out my schedule for upcoming classes and contact me if you’d like to join us.
Don’t forget to make the most of Sale-A-Bration! There’s only a few weeks to go…
Happy stamping,

Pigment Sprinkles Pop Up Class
March 1, 2020 /Last weekend I held a Pigment Sprinkles Pop Up class.
Pigment Sprinkles are intense watercolour pigment crystals (very fine powder). You mix them with water to activate them. They are fantastic for watercolour backgrounds, washes and a variety of techniques which I taught.
There’s six jars in the pack and everyone got their own to keep as well as a 2-pack of Stampin’ Spritzers.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the class and we all got very inky. The great thing is, it’s water based and does wash off in water off your skin and off your clothes!
What I love about pigment sprinkles is that no two cards will ever be the same!
For these cards we heat embossed in white on Fluid 100 Watercolour paper. We then added the sprinkles and spritzed it with water and allowed to dry before finishing off the cards.
For these cards we first spayed the watercolour paper and then added the sprinkles. You have more control over the colour this way. Look at all of the beautiful cards we made.
This card was cased from Anna Wheaton.
It was made using shimmer white paper, this also work very well with lots of water. We wet the plain card base first, then added the Bermuda Bay Sprinkles.
The lily and pad were embossed in black , spritzed with water, sprinkled with different colour pigment and the colour was moved around with an aqua painter.
For this card we used the watercolour paper and embossed the baloons in Copper heat embossing powder. We then spritzed so it was damp.
We sprinkled a tiny bit of pigment of several colours onto a take away container lid, added water to it with the aqua painter and then coloured in the sections with the aqua painter.
For these cards we used the ‘salt technique’.
Once again we used watercolour paper, sprinkled the colour of choice pigment, sprayed it with water so it was very wet then sprinkled salt flakes over the top and let it dry naturally.
The salt flakes create amazing patterns as you can see.
For this last card we spritzed the watercolour paper, added the sprinkles and then brayered to spread the colour over the entire sheet.
When dry, we heat embossed in the gorgeous new sparkling white embossing powder.
We made a total of six cards but we played with another couple of techniques using ironing starch.
It’s a little ironic that I bought the starch as I’m an occasional ironer… 😅
We used glad wrap and bubble wrap for the effects.
Here’s what I made with some my “practice” samples. These little tags were inspired by Pink Buckaroo. They are simply punched out and attached to the Bird Ballad Die cut.
The ladies got to take these home to make something with.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this. If you’d like to join us for classes please contact me.
Remember to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration until the end of March. Every $90 spend earns you a freebie from the SAB calalogue, 2 entries into the $30 gift voucher draw and a card and surprise gift from me.

Blends Club Cards
February 11, 2020 /We have begun our second Blends Club classes for the year.
Everyone commits to 4 months of classes and will receive 4 new Stampin’ Blends each class worth $31. Everyone received a bonus Sale-a-Bration item for blends club on this round.
Our colours this month were Lovely Lipstick and Pretty Peacock and we focused on these colours alone.
We used the stippled colouring technique. You use the bullet point of the dark blend pen to make small dots on the shaded area then blend with the light pen to get the look you want.
Here’s the cards we made.
The first card was using the Forever Blossoms Bundle.
The second card used the FREE Sale-A-Bration set “Power of Hope” stamp and textured embossing folder.
I hope you like my designs. If you’d like more information about my blends club please contact me.
