January 2019 Card Class Animal Expedition
Welcome back to my card classes for 2019!
This month we made four cute cards using the super cute Animal Expeditions Suite. I used the happy birthday greeting form the new Amazing Life stamp set, I thought this worked really well with the images.
These cards are suitable for girls and boys of any age.
Rhino Card
We stamped the rhino and coloured the bird using Stampin’ Blends, then cut it out with the matching Thinlits ‘Animal Friends‘ die.
The cobbled path was run through the big shot using the embossing plates! I love these as the double the use of my dies! I can now cut or emboss.

Kangaroo Card
I was inspired by a card in the Stampin’ Up catalogue. It’s lovely to have one of our Australian native animals to play with too
The base of this card is on berry burst card stock and the kangaroo is cut out of the cute Designer Series Paper. The leafy cut out is using the dies in the bundle. The wooden elements ad a nice finishing touch.

Giraffe Card
I love how the giraffe is poking out of the circle. This was also cut out of the DSP. The frog on the branch was stamped and cut out with the matching framelits and… there’s a die for the old olive branch too!
Don’t you just love all of the coordination that Stampin’ Up! provides for us to make projects so much easier

DSP Card
This one I totally cased from the annual catalogue. I just used a heart instead of the button and changed the greeting and the DSP pattern.
It features a full card front of the really cute DSP!
I love the leaf ribbon and the wooden elements, do you? They add a different element to the card.
Handy Hint: The easiest way to attach the leaf ribbon is using glue dots.
