Stamping with aMac Craft Retreat – October 2023

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all who came to our Stamping with aMac Craft Retreat last week/ weekend.

The purpose of the retreat is to provide a pleasant and creative getaway for everyone who attends.

What a wonderful time we had together; sharing, caring, laughing, crying, eating drinking, crafting and recharging our batteries.

Here’s some photos to share our wonderful experience with you.

There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into preparing these events. I always have amazing helpers which make the job more fun and much faster!

Thank you Maree for helping me design the bag and place tags, the pillow gift decorations and make and takes.

Thank you Robyn C,  Janet, Jackie M and Jackie D for all of your help with prepping before the event!

Every morning I place a little ‘pillow gift’ on the place setting for all the crafters.

This is a little thank you from me.

Packing the goodie bags is always a satisfying job as the prep work is finished!

Here’s a few behind the scenes photos of packing and the contents of the goodie bags.

Packing the car is a bit like playing tetris!

I try to fit as much as possible in without squashing anything!

I don’t like things sliding around so every nook and cranny is filled, mostly due to necessity.

Bornhoffen is in the beautiful, serene Numinbah Valley and everyone enjoys the surrounds.

There’s just something so relaxing about stopping and looking at the beautiful valley, seeing and listening to all the different birds and enjoying the nature. It’s so peaceful.

I received some feedback over the weekend which sums it up perfectly:

"The food is amazing, the company is fantastic, the scenery is sensational and having the opportunity to relax and focus is very healing for the mind, body and soul".

Helping me set up was my childhood friend Jackie and cousin Mariann, who both came all the way from Sydney for the retreat, along with my Dazzling Divas team member Elaine.

Setting up was a breeze! Thank you ladies 😊

I always hold a fundraiser for a worthy cause and this time, together with our amazing group of craft ladies we raised an incredible total $1,072 to support Black Dog Institute.

The Black Dog Institute is dedicated to understanding, preventing and treating mental illness.

We had a majority of the prizes kindly donated by Jackie McGee as well as additional prizes donated by Wendy L, Kylie-Jean M, Robyn C, Leanne C and thanks to anyone else I may have missed.

My Dazzling Divas Team Member Jan organised an additional raffle raising $95 and Kylie-Jean had a clearance pile for gold coin donations and raised $57 which was all added to the fundraiser.

This retreat has the specific purpose of:

  1. Togetherness – gathering with like-minded people
  2. Mindfulness – ‘running away’ from home to recharge your batteries
  3. Joy – providing a positive, fun and relaxing experience
  4. Giving – sharing ideas, making connections and supporting a charity

We always have a wonderful time catching up at our retreats!

It’s amazing how small the world is. We had a few ladies discover that they lived in the same street in Canberra while they were growing up.

We also had a purple theme on Saturday in case you are wondering why so many are dressed in purple.

Here’s a few photo’s capturing the togetherness and joy we shared.

I am always so impressed by the projects, craft and creativity I see at our retreats. All kind of crafting is welcome and everyone is so generous with sharing ideas, tips and instructions with each other too.

Lots of crafters leave feeling very inspired and wanting to do more.

Enjoy the project pics and video 😊

Dazzling Divas Team Member Jan Howley created this fabulous project.

What can I say about the food?

I had so many ladies comment how good the food is, how much there is and how satisfied they are with it! We are so well looked after, especially the dietary requirements.

The GF and DF range was so amazing.

“I don’t have to worry about if the food is safe for me to eat as I know the chefs are so careful about cross contamination.”

We celebrated Mary Anne’s birthday on Friday and were treated with beautiful fresh cup cakes made by our wonderful Chef Donna (who also happens to be a Dazzling Diva).

Notice the addition of purple in the decorations?

I hope you can join us next year!

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart ❤️
