Stamping with aMac Craft Retreat – October 2024

We shared another wonderful weekend at our Stamping with aMac Craft Retreat!

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all who came along.

The purpose of the retreat is to provide a pleasant and creative getaway for everyone who attends.

Enjoy the photo’s capturing our wonderful weekend.

There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into preparing these events. I always have amazing helpers which make the job more fun and much faster!

  • Thank you Maree for helping me design the bag and place tags, the pillow gift decorations and a make and takes.
  • Thank you Jackie M for your help sorting and packing the raffles prises, Karen B for help with prep, spreadsheets and transporting a heap of boxes.
  • Thank you Deb P for helping design a make and take and helping with lots of prepping.
  • Thank you also to our wonderful chef Donna for looking after us so well.

Packing the goodie bags is always a satisfying job as the prep work is finished!

Every morning I place a little ‘table gift’ on the place setting for all the crafters.

This is a little bonus thank you surprise from me.

Bornhoffen is in the beautiful, serene Numinbah Valley and everyone enjoys the surrounds.

There’s just something so refreshing about stopping and enjoying the beautiful valley, seeing and listening to all the different birds and enjoying the nature.

It’s so peaceful.

Helping me set up was my Dazzling Divas team members Karen and Deb.

Setting up was a breeze as we worked through it methodically.

Thank you ladies!

I always hold a fundraiser for a worthy cause and this time, together with our amazing group of craft ladies we raised an incredible total of $1,135 to donate to Wedgetail Retreat – Tweed Palliative Support (receipt to follow).

We had a majority of the prizes kindly donated by Jackie M as well as additional prizes donated by Stampin’Up!, Jan H, Robyn C, Leanne C , Cheryl H, Belinda S and Kylie-Jean M.

We also had an amazing total of 240 cards donated for Wedgetail Reatreat!

Thank you all who contributed! These will get sold in the Op Shop in Murwillumbah as additional fund raising for Wedgetail.

Thank you, Ann K for providing envelopes, packaging and delivering the cards for us.

It’s very much appreciated.

Thanks to Jackie M for suppling the samples and setting up the beautiful display board full of Stampin’ Up! Inspiration!

What a wonderful time we had together; sharing ideas and projects, laughing, eating, drinking, crafting and recharged our batteries. I know that I desperately needed this lovely getaway.

It was good for the soul.

We also had an optional White Night and thanks to all who participated!

I always love seeing the amazing projects created at our retreats.

All kind of crafting is welcome and everyone is so generous with sharing ideas, tips and instructions with each other. Lots of crafters leave feeling very inspired and wanting to do more.

Here’s a few project pics for you to enjoy!

What can I say about the food?

As always, the food was amazing and plentiful! We are so well looked after, especially the dietary requirements. The GF and DF range was so amazing.

Thanks so much to Chef’s Donna and Dan for catering for us.

You are awesome!

I feel so lucky and blessed to be able to have provided a gathering place for so many to enjoy since I started my aMac Retreats in 2020.

I was lucky to receive this stunning HUGE bouquet of Native Flowers arranged by “Flowers by Rachel Gold Coast” who happens to be Jackie McGee’s daughter-in-law.

Thank you all for chipping in and for the lovely well wishes on my thank you card.

Also, big THANKS to my amazing husband Wade for all or your tech help, support, patience and for updating my website regularly!

As announced at the retreat, this was my final one as our circumstances are changing and we’ll be moving to Tasmania, BUT… my lovely team member Karen Balwin will take over for me.

Most of you know or have met Karen, she is very capable and I’ll hand over everything to her for a smooth transition.

I hope you can come again next year!

You are all amazing!

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your support and friendships over the years.

You have made my crafting journey special and memorable in so many ways. I will miss seeing you in person but there’s many ways you can follow my journey and we can keep in touch!

Stay tuned – details to follow for a Tasmanian aMac Craft Retreat!!!  I just need to find a suitable venue first and I promise to hold it in summer!  😊 ☀️

Happy Stamping,

Angela x
